Islamabad (Web Desk) The capital police have decided to augment security of public places, worship places and all important buildings to thwart any untoward incident on Eidul Fitr.
The final review and approval of the security plan was given by Senior Superintendent of Police (operations) Najeebur Rehman Bugvi at a meeting held at Rescue 15.
IGP Sultan Azam Temuri has already directed the police to remain on a high alert and fully prepared to avert any untoward incident during the Eid holidays. A comprehensive plan was devised by SSP Bugvi who also directed for effective security measures in the city.
Mosques, imambargahs and other places will be covered by armed guards and policemen during the Eid prayers, the police said in a statement. The police would also patrol in various sectors while circle incharges would ensure proper security at the Eid congregations.
Subdivisional police officers and station house officers would be responsible for the security around worship places in their areas. They may be provided additional force on request for an effective patrolling.
Duty rosters would be prepared by the incharges of police stations and policemen would patrol in various sectors round the clock to check house burglaries and ensure protection to properties during the holidays. Mobile officers and police guards posted to mosques, imambargahs, public/picnic places will take take action against beggars.
