Heavy Rains: 6 killed and 84 injured in different cities of Sindh & Punjab


Lahore (Dunya News) Six persons were killed and 84 wounded as heavy rain, high winds wreck havoc in parts of Punjab and Sindh on Tuesday.
Two people were killed and five other were wounded when roofs of two houses collapsed due to heavy rain in Lahore. At least 26 traffic accidents were also reported in the city due to rain in which 14 people were wounded.
Rain also caused power outage in different areas of Lahore. More than 140 feeders were tripped due to heavy downpour in the city.
Heavy rain coupled with gusty wind also lashed Larkana and its adjacent areas on Tuesday. At least four people, including two women and a minor kid, were killed and 30 other were wounded in roof collapse incidents in Larkna.
On the other hand, a passenger coach skidded off the road due to rain near Ranipur area of Khairpur, injuring at least 10 people.
